Store Cattle 250324
On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly Sale of 157 Store Cattle & Feeding Bulls of all classes.
A smaller show was forward to a busy ringside of buyers still eager to purchase cattle.
Topping today’s sale at £1865 was a great Limousin cross bullock from Far Close Farms, this home sold four to average £1725.
Heifers topped at £1765 for a Simmental cross from Messrs A & S Robley, Nelson Hill Farm.
Dairy bred cattle still sold very well, topping at £1375 for a Fleckvieh cross heifer from Messrs A H Barker, Town Head.
Messrs E & R Brass & Son, Barnskew, sold a good run of yearling sucklers topping at £1395 for a Limousin bullock. This consignment of twelve sold to average £1268.
