On Friday 9th February Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP conducted their quarterly collective sale of tractors and machinery.
Another bonanza sale was witnessed with 1,592 entries going under the hammer, this included a record number of tractors that was simply a pleasure to sell. The sale topped at £37,000 for a superb, locally farmer owned John Deere 6125R, 2014 registration, heading over the water to Southern Ireland. This lot achieved £5,000 more than offered in a trade in deal, so please consider how you conduct future deals on genuine, tidy farm machinery and tractors.
A total of forty-four items sold in excess of £10,000, with machinery topping at £13,000 for a very genuine, locally owned compact Agri muck spreader, purchased by Lancashire contractors. This lot achieved £5,000 over its reserve price.
Items throughout the sale, from 9.30am to 6.30pm comfortably reached and exceeded reserve prices.
Classic tractors achieved £10,300 for a David Brown 1190, this achieved £5000 over its set reserve price.
JCB loadalls have proven to be very popular to sell in our recent sales, with a selection of clean and tidy machines forward. A 2018 JCB 526-60 loadall realised £29,000 coming from the trade.
All in all, a very successful sale was witnessed with a very strong clearance rate being achieved, and high value items selling with ease.
