On Sunday 14th March Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart held their Fifth Annual Spring Special Show and Sale of Show Potential Haltered Cattle. Mr Mark Hallam of Derbyshire carried out the judging and had before him 60 fabulous haltered cattle, split into 18 different classes from 12 different holdings.

After three hours of intense judging Mr Hallam awarded the 2010 Spring Special Champion to “Gunpowder Gertie” a stylish Limousin heifer born June 2009 shown
